RoostBAR is a macOS menu-bar application that opens streaming services in floating mini-player windows. We take your privacy seriously.

Data we collect

RoostBAR does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The app has no analytics, no telemetry, and no account system.

What stays on your device

The following is stored locally on your Mac only:

Which streaming services you have added to your list
Login session cookies for streaming services you sign into (stored in isolated per-service data stores)
App preferences and layout settings

None of this information ever leaves your device.

Third-party services

RoostBAR displays third-party streaming websites (Netflix, YouTube, Tubi, etc.) inside WebView windows. Your use of those services is governed by their own privacy policies. RoostBAR has no access to your credentials or activity on those sites.
